2020-08-17 20:54

To ensure the health and safety of international travelers and reduce the risks of trans-border spread of Covid-19, on July 20th 2020, the Civil Aviation Administration of China, the General Administration of Customs of China and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China jointly promulgated the announcement that passengers of China-bound flights are required to provide negative nucleic acid testing results for COVID-19 before boarding. The Chinese Embassy in India will timely promulgate the exact time and arrangement of the enforcement of the above-mentioned policy and measures on the basis of the real situation of the nucleic acid testing in India when the conditions are met.

Upon enforcement all passengers of China-bound flights taking off from India, both Chinese national and foreign nationals, are required to complete the nucleic acid testing for Covid-19 within five days before boarding in the labs approved by the Indian Council of Medical Research (hereinafter referred to as the ICMR) and recognized by the Chinese Embassy in India. Chinese nationals need to log in the international version of the health QR code to upload the photo of their negative reports of the nucleic acid testing, and foreign nationals need to apply to the Chinese Embassy in India for the Health Declaration Forms with their negative reports of the nucleic acid testing provided by the labs authorized by the ICMR.

The airlines will check the status of the health QR code with an "HS" mark and the Health Declaration Forms as mentioned above before boarding.
