Xi Jinping Exchanges Congratulatory Messages with Head of State of Monaco Prince Albert II on the 30th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between China and Monaco

On January 16, 2025, President Xi Jinping exchanged congratulatory messages with Head of State of Monaco Prince Albert II to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

Xi Jinping pointed out that since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Monaco 30 years ago, bilateral relations have achieved tremendous development. Both sides have upheld sincerity, friendship and equality, and continuously deepened political mutual trust and traditional friendship. Bilateral cooperation in areas such as communications, environmental protection, sports and arts has been distinctive and fruitful, serving as a model for friendly coexistence and common development between countries with different sizes, histories, cultures, and social systems. Xi Jinping said that he attaches great importance to the development of China-Monaco relations and is willing to work with Prince Albert II to take the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations as a new starting point to push for new and sustained progress in China-Monaco relations and bring more benefits to the two peoples.

Prince Albert II said that although Monaco and China are different in size, culture and national conditions, the two countries have always adhered to mutual respect, exchanges and mutual learning, with fruitful cooperation in such fields as environmental protection, ocean, economy, trade and culture. President Xi Jinping's state visit to Monaco in 2019 is a grand and unforgettable event for all the people of Monaco. Monaco attaches great importance to developing its relations with China. Prince Albert II said he is willing to work with President Xi Jinping to deepen mutual trust, expand cooperation, and push for more achievements in Monaco-China relations to better benefit the two peoples.
