On January 27, Consul General Zha Liyou met with the "Happy Spring Festival" art troupe led by Li Xiaoqiu, Deputy Director of the Culture and Tourism Department of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.

Consul General Zha welcomed the visit of the art troupe, thanked the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the People's Government of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region for their strong support for China-India cultural exchanges, and wished the troupe a great success. He also introduced the recent relations between China and east India, saying that the Consulate General would like to promote exchanges and cooperation between Inner Mongolia and east India in various fields.

Mr.Li thanked the Consulate General for providing assistance for the performance, saying that the art troupe would go all out to present a wonderful performance for Indian friends including the overseas Chinese, by showing the unique charm of Inner Mongolia grassland culture. Li also expressed willingness to maintain communication with the Consulate General to boost cultural and people-to-people exchanges between Inner Mongolia and eastern India.
