Consul General Xu Wei attended the India International Grand Trade Fair

On December 10, 2024, Xu Wei, Consul General of China in Kolkata, was invited to attend the "India International Grand Trade Fair" organized  by Bharat Chamber of Commerce, India. With their accompany, Consul General Xu and Consul General Acharya of Nepal in Kolkata visited the exhibition booths of household goods, clothing, agricultural products and handicrafts with great interest, and exchanged views with relevant exhibitors.


Consul General Xu met with Senior Vice President of Bharat Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Naresh Pachisia and Secretary General Ms. Keka Sarma, saying that the China-India market has huge potential, the Consulate General is committed to promoting economic and trade exchanges between China and East India, welcomes more Indian quality products to be exported to China, and looks forward to closer economic and trade cooperation and people-to-people exchanges between China and India. Mr. Pachisia and management team of CCG Marketing & Service said that West Bengal is the gateway to Southeast Asia and neighboring countries and plays a pivotal role in promoting business exchanges, hoping that Chinese manufacturers can come to India in the future to participate in the trade fair and Bharat Chamber of Commerce and CCG Marketing & Service are willing to play a bridge role to promote the cooperation between the two countries in textile industry, biotechnology, agriculture and other fields.


Bharat Chamber of Commerce is one of the major chambers of commerce in West Bengal and its "India International Grand Trade fair" has become one of the largest international trade fair in East India. Exhibitors from 8 countries such as Turkey, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates and 16 states of India were invited to participate in this year’s fair, which has 12 exhibition halls, 500 booths, and thousands of kinds of goods.
